Arrow can lend alone or alongside another lender. We aim to boost the economy by providing finance to those that are entering into self-employment, starting a small business or expanding an existing one.
Loans
Loans from £1,000 to £10,000 are available to commercially viable micro enterprises, start-up companies and existing businesses that cannot raise the finance required.
Why?
All those businesses that have received Arrow loans have previously been refused bank finance. We work closely with Lloyds TSB to ensure that enterprising people are not excluded from raising finance for business.
The scheme has enabled over 300 businesses to access finance that would not have been able to do so. Arrow has lent over £1.5 million to small businesses in the West Midlands. Our aims are to create employment opportunities and encourage new business formation in the West Midlands.
Background
Arrow - Small Business Finance was launched in 1994. At that time it was amongst the first initiatives to provide finance for businesses to start up or grow in Birmingham's most disadvantaged communities. With that target in mind, the name Arrow seemed appropriate.
Our Supporters
Arrow – Small Business Finance operates on a not for profit basis and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Advantage West Midlands and Birmingham City Council and supported by Lloyds TSB and Birmingham Chamber Of Commerce & Industry. |
